Task Group Responsibilities:
Adult Learning:
The purpose of this task area is to advance and/or reinforce our understanding of the purposes of our religion and of the Bible; to promote fellowship among our peers through learning; and to encourage a free discussion of ideas and interpretations.
The Adult Learning task person will:
Oversee and/or delegate the organization of :
Women's Retreat (traditionally held in the spring)
Adult Retreat (traditionally held in January)
Men's Breakfast
Women's Book Group
Visiting Scholar Series
Oversee and/or delegate the organization of the Adult Learning Program -
Current Tuesday evening program -
Simple Meals
Learning Circles
Body and Soul
Oversee and/or delegate the organization of single session events
Guest presentations on a specific topic (fee or non-fee)
Support the successor to position as the Adult Learning task leader, pass on all relevant documents to next task person, and be available for consultation.
